Curi-Cancha Reserve protects 83 hectares (205 acres) of 50% primary forest, 45% secondary forest, and 5% open pasture. The altitude ranges from 1450 meters to 1615 meters. The types of forest are 40% Tropical Rainshadow Forest (Premontane wet forest) and 60% Cloudforest (Lower montane wet forest).
Seven kilometers of natural trails allow visitors to explore its flora and fauna.
